High Protein Yoghurt Bowl: A Light, Fresh Summer Recipe

High Protein Yoghurt Bowl: A Light, Fresh Summer Recipe

The High-Protein Yoghurt Bowl for Warm Summer Days

There’s something wonderfully comforting about a simple yoghurt bowl - creamy, cool, lightly sweet and endlessly adaptable. This version, created by our Nutritionist Bow, is designed to be high in protein, gentle on digestion, and a beautiful way to enjoy the Vanilla Enlighten Me Shake in a refreshing, spoonable form.

It’s a perfect option for anyone who may be looking to increase their protein intake, cool down on a warm day, or enjoy something soft, easy to digest and not overly sweet. And best of all – it takes only a few minutes to make, with no cooking required.

For some of our members who are using GLP-1 medications, experiencing delayed gastric emptying, and looking for easy GLP-1 meal prep recipes without meat, this yoghurt bowl has become a reliable go-to. It offers a high-protein base that sits comfortably, is gentle on the gut, and provides steady energy without overwhelming the appetite.

Why Greek Yoghurt Works So Well

Greek yoghurt has become a staple in many high-protein diets, and for good reason. It naturally contains more protein than regular yoghurt due to the straining process, which removes liquid whey and concentrates the nutrients. This additional protein helps support satiety, stabilise energy levels and complement the protein already provided by the Enlighten Me Shakes.

Its creamy texture also acts as the perfect base: refreshing yet substantial, cooling yet satisfying – exactly what’s needed on hot days or when a lighter meal is preferred.

A Closer Look at Granola – A Crunch That Counts

Granola has an interesting history, originally developed in the nineteenth century in the United States as a wellness-focused breakfast food made from baked whole grains. Today, granola often includes nuts, seeds and sometimes dried fruit. In Bow’s recipe, a grain-free granola or simple mix of nuts and seeds works beautifully.

Nuts and seeds bring fibre, healthy fats and micronutrients, but just as importantly, they add texture. That delicate crunch balances the smooth yoghurt and sweet bursts of fresh fruit, creating a bowl that feels both nourishing and satisfying.

Bow’s High-Protein Yoghurt Bowl Recipe

Serves one

Ingredients

  • ½–1 scoop Enlighten Me Vanilla Meal Replacement Shake
  • ½ cup Chobani Light Greek Yoghurt
  • 2 tbsp grain-free granola or a handful of nuts and seeds
  • A serve of fruit
  • ¼–½ tsp cinnamon powder

Method

  1. In a bowl, mix the Enlighten Me Vanilla Meal Replacement Shake with the Greek yoghurt.
  2. If using a full scoop, Bow recommends adding 1–1.5 tbsp water to thin the texture slightly.
  3. Stir until well combined.
  4. Top your yoghurt with grain-free granola or mixed nuts and seeds.
  5. Add a serve of fruit for freshness, then finish with a sprinkle of cinnamon.
  6. Enjoy!

Note from Bow:
If you’re unsure about the texture, start with ½ scoop of the shake. Bow uses a full scoop and adds 1 tbsp water and 1 tbsp kefir.
